Disaster in Oklahoma – Please help!

Hello from,

If you’ve watched the news in the past few days, you have seen the terrible devastation caused by the horrific F5 tornado that hit the town of Moore, just outside of Oklahoma City, OK.

The pictures and videos of the devastation caused are absolutely horrific.  We can only hope that the people of Moore are able to get back on their feet and pick up the pieces as quickly as possible and we feel a deep sense of loss for those that lost friends, family and especially children.  We, at PetFlow, personally felt the devastation caused by hurricane Sandy that hit our homes in New York and New Jersey and we want the people of Oklahoma to know that you are not alone.

After hurricane Sandy hit, many of our customers were asking how they can help animals that were affected by the storm, and we offered to waive shipping on any order, no matter how big or small, that is being sent to a shelter in an affected area.  We were astounded by the outpouring of support – nearly 1,000 orders were placed by our customers.  You truly care!  There are shelters in the Oklahoma area that need help right now, and we’ve put together a list of shelters below.  You are welcome to send a food order to them, or to any other shelter, and we will waive shipping fees on the order, no matter how small.  If you choose to order over $55, we will also take 10% off the order, and ship it for free as well.  Please use the following coupon codes when placing orders.  We will also be prioritizing these orders and shipping them as quickly as possible.

Free Shipping on any order: OKHELP
10% off over $55+ plus free shipping: OKHELP10

Note: There’s no maximum to the 10% off discount, $500 orders will receive $50 off, etc.

In addition, we will be sending our own care packages to the shelters listed here.  Together, we can help many more animals.
On behalf of the shelters in the affected area, thank you.

Here are the shelters:

This shelter is the closest to the city of Moore that was greatly affected by the tornado.  We spoke to the coordinator of the shelter and they could definitely use donations.  They are also providing food to shelters that may be in need.  Approximately 15% of the animals in this shelter are under veterinary care at this time.
