If you’ve watched the news lately, you saw the utter devastation in Colorado. 17 Colorado counties, including the state’s biggest urban centers, were in the flood zone. National Guard military vehicles and helicopters were being used to reach thousands of people cut off in communities isolated by washed-out roads and bridges. While aid was pouring into the state for all humans affected by the disaster, as is always the case, animals were the last concern.
We spoke to Kaitlyn Holloway, a representative from the Weld County Humane Society, and Colorado was in dire need of dog and cat food for their many animals. We sent care packages right away, but we also asked PetFlow customers to donate directly to the Weld Humane Society – with shipping on us! – and the results were truly inspiring.
Kaitlyn and Katie are pictured here with just a fraction of the food sent by our loyal customers!
Thanks to your generosity, so many dogs had dinner that night! Look at the mountains of yummy food!!
We’re very grateful to the volunteers at the Weld County Human Society for working with us on this effort! We wish everyone in Colorado the best!
